Custom Fitting

headerevents

You’re better when you’re fit.

The fitting process begins by testing your current equipment, gathering hard performance data, and learning about your golf game and goals.

Then we move into shaft testing. We’ll start hitting with a single club and change out shafts to find which best fits your swing profile. We’re looking for distance and analyzing feel, but ultimately, we’re comparing shot dispersion between the different shafts. The tighter the dispersion the better.

New build or rebuild?
Either way, you’re better.

Once we find the shaft that performs the best for your swing, we start testing different club heads with that specific shaft. When we have the right combination, we build your new set to the same spec tolerances that we use on Tour. Or, we can retrofit your current club heads with your new shafts.

New build or rebuild?
Either way, you’re better.

The next step is to take the winning shaft and dive into different club heads. We will again choose 4 – 7 different models that fit your game style and go through a process of elimination again using data.

FAQs

  • 1. How long is a full bag fitting?

A full bag fitting takes about 3 ½ hours. This is preferably done in two sessions split between Irons & Wedges (2 hours) and Woods & Hybrids (1 ½ hours).
  • 2. What should I bring to a fitting?

You should bring your entire current set of clubs to the fitting.
  • 3. What do I receive from the fitting?

After the fitting process is complete, you will receive a full Trackman report directly to your email and a recommendation from the fitter on the best course of action for your game and swing.
  • 4. Can I order clubs once my fitting is complete?

Yes, your order can be place as soon as the fitting is complete.
  • 5. What is the turn around time on my new set of clubs?

Our standard turn around time is 7-10 days (subject to availability).
  • 6. What if the clubs I want to purchase are backordered from the manufacturer?

If the clubs you select are on backorder, we will do everything in our power to get them in house ASAP and stay within the 7-10 day window, but delivery time will depend on the manufacturer.
  • 7. What is the benefit to being properly fit for my golf clubs?

Being fit properly has many benefits. If a player who is 5’ tall and swings a 7 iron at 70mph is swinging clubs that are standard length and x-stiff, they have no chance of performing a well-executed golf swing multiple times in a row. The same goes for the 6’5" player swinging a 7 iron at 90mph playing clubs that are 1" under standard and A-flex. Just having a shaft that is too light or too heavy for a particular player can have an adverse effect on the outcome of the swing.
  • 8. What if I want my current set of club heads used for a build?

Not a problem. We would still do a full shaft fitting and determine the proper shaft for the player, and a retrofit build would be done instead of selecting new club heads.
  • 9. Can I come into the shop and just purchase shafts?

Absolutely! We carry most all SKU’s in the Tour Spec weights in house along with some standard weight product. There is an upcharge from normal MAP pricing on Tour Spec shafts, and if we are out of stock, shafts can normally be delivered in 1 business day.
  • 10. If I don’t want to be fit, can I purchase shafts and have my clubs built without a fitting?

As a performance center, we will always recommend a fitting first, but we are more than happy to meet all your needs. Keep in mind we will ONLY build clubs with KBS products.
  • 11. Can I bring my current set of clubs in for grips if they do not have KBS shafts?

    Yes, you certainly can.
